I expect you know this, but it's important so it bears repeating...

Article 50 no longer applies to the UK. It ceased to apply the moment we left the EU on 31 January 2020 at 11pm.

So no matter how badly the Brexit negotiations go, there's no "remain" option any more.
Other vital thing to note: that doesn't magically transform Brexit into a good idea!

Brexit is governed by facts. The treaties and trade agreements we shredded on leaving the EU. Geography. The Withdrawal Agreement, etc.

All the facts still point to Brexit being a disaster.
We have no obligation to join the Brexit cult. We have no obligation to pray for a good outcome, believe in it or take any other action that has no causal bearing on the situation. Leave that to Leave cultists.

What we should continue to do is hold a magnifying glass to reality.

Seems to be a lot of confusion around the rights of UK citizens so I'll have a stab at explaining...

Before Brexit, we could have lived and worked in any EU country, including the right to move from one EU country to another, while keeping the same rights.
The Withdrawal Agreement provides for a few things:
A) the right to stay living in a EU27 country indefinitely (though may be conditions, just as there were before Brexit)
B) the right to move to an EU27 country before 31 Dec 2020, in which case A) applies
What changes is, the right to live is no longer portable across the whole EU.

So say you live in Spain or move to Spain before 31 Dec 2020. You can keep living in Spain after 31 Dec 2020 under the same conditions as before. But you couldn't just up sticks to e.g. Germany.

Wetherspoon have said they're only going to use Fairtrade sugar, which is produced by Tate & Lyle. But as always seems to be the case, there's a lot more to the story than meets the eye... T&L's competitor grows sugar in Norfolk. T&L does so overseas.

T&L are super pro Brexit because they saw an opportunity to bypass the EU's tariffs on the sugar T&L imports. (Assuming the UK plays ball and sets a lower tariff or no tariff on cane sugar). In doing so they're taking trade away from UK-based beet farmers.

And T&L are an American firm, and there's a whole dodgy connection to David Davis, and yada yada yada. The whole sorry tale is laid out in the story at the previous tweet.

So "Fairtrade" sounds good... until you know the details. After that, in this particular case, it's 🤮

Problem is, every figure you see for the number of people yet to apply for the Settlement Scheme is an estimate. There is quite literally no way for the UK Government to know how many people haven't yet - because they never bothered to keep records of who's here from the EU.
That means there's vast potential for a "Windrush on steroids" because the very elderly and vulnerable will be least likely to have completed the process (which involves using an app and/or travel). But Boris Johnson wants to turn employers and landlords into immigration spies.

This is gonna be long, but I think it's worth it. A well-regarded twitter poster, let’s call him Giorgio, has recently publish a thread stating among other things as follows. “The pathways to stopping or delaying Brexit are blocked.
But once the mandate is discharged, the pathways to UK rejoining, or being in a close association agreement with EU, within the single market and customs union, will be open, with no obstacles.”
This approach annoys me for two reasons, one because Giorgio seems to be attempting to cajole Remainers to put all activity on hold until we actually leave the #EU.
