Living in Singapore for 1 month during the COVID outbreak I’ve been super impressed by the government leadership and response here. Things that I've noticed:
0/ Transparent and regular updates on their policies, status of the virus spread, clear actionable recommendations to individuals and businesses, and responses to misinformation. moh.gov.sg/covid-19
1/ Aggressive contact tracing using the police to get folks who may have been exposed tested and into quarantine quickly. Above MOH link shows the extent of this work.
1/ Advise drivers of cabs/Grabs to wear masks, flush the air in the car between passengers, do periodic wipe downs.

2/ Aggressive movement to limit travel from hotspots and enforce quarantine for all those arriving. Stringent penalties for those who violate these rules.
3/ Temperature check all employees entering offices, secondary temperature checks during the day.
I probably get my temperature checked 4+ times per day as I go into different buildings, get stopped for a lunchtime check, etc.

4/ Opening Public Health Preparedness Clinics that provide special subsidies to those with flu like symptoms: straitstimes.com/singapore/coro…
5/ Pervasive messaging on the importance of staying home when sick, washing hands, etc. This is being transmitted across many channels repeatedly.
6/ Mobilizing government IT teams to build tools to help with coordination and communication - a bunch of work here seems like it spun up _very_ quickly and was able to help drive above implementations.
I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of other points - but I’ve been fascinated and impressed at the speed of decision making and ability to act that Singapore shows (and not just in COVID related work).
