Nurses in Langaroud, Gilan, all writing in their Instagram crying for help. They say there are no protective gears available in the hospitals anymore and soon they all will be affected with #COVID19

Europe has suspended all Iran Air flights to European destinations until further notice.

I saw this video but did not post since could had been fake. It now seems confirmed:

A #COVID19 suspected patients on the ground - he was denied admittance in Rasht since there are no more free beds.

Remember "imploding"? It might happen in Gilan.

In the press conference of @WHO team in Qom, they were asked a question on why Qom was not quarantined to which they responded they can only provide recommendations and decisions are made locally. #COVID19

Official #COVID19 numbers for today:

Cases: 6566 (+743)
Dead: 194 (+49)

If these numbers mean anything, this is highest death reported in a day and trend of new cases shows a decline.

I hope the latter is true.

For anyone interested, here is a spreadsheet of cases by breakdown of provinces in Iran.

Today's number (if they can be trusted), only Hamadan situation is a bit worrying where numbers jumped to 60 from 34.

4 MPs from Citizen Right committee in parliament have stated that the government has NOT been successful in containing the spread of #COVID19 and asked for:

1 - 100% quarantine of crisis points
2 - Urgent allocation of funds to provide protective gears

Reports from Pirooz hospital in Lahijan suggests that there were 12 fatal #COVID19 cases on March the 6th - just one hospital. They normally have 6-8 fatality per day due to #coronvirus.

Officially, total number of dead on that day reported as 21.

All roads to Mazandaran province were closed - again - to contain #COVID19. They were closed down on Friday, opened last night on the President's order, vigilantes closing some and now they are meant to be closed down.

To Open or Close who knows... 🤷

Vigilantes in Rasht, Gilan closing roads and stopping vehicles from outside the province. #COVID19 We have seen videos of vigilantes attacking such vehicles. With many cases already in the province, restricting exit is probably more critical than entrance.
While the Police has closed down the main road to the city of Lahijan, cars could still use minor roads to enter. Here the locals closing these minor roads themselves. #COVIDー19

This infographic shows the number of cases and casualties among the medical staff.

This will hell you read it:

Mohammadali Shaeri, head of Mazandarani Caucus in the parliament: "Situation is critical in Mazandaran, someone please help! Casualties increase by the hour." #COVIDー19 #COVID19

For the first time, it appears the state TV has started to criticise #COVID19 control. This one is directed at Gholamreza Jalali, head of Passive Defence Organisation for refusing to be interviewed.

He had earlier claimed there were no cases in Iran.

Vigilantes on the street again, this time in Chaboksar - the border between Gilan and Mazandaran. Seems people have given up on government to protect them.

This is a pretty worrying development and can easily escalate to something graver.

Due to the risks, it appears some Qom doctors have stopped working in their hospitals. Authorities are threatening to fire them and some hardliners are threatening to treat this similar to escape from the war fronts with Court-Martial.

According to Iran Health authorities this morning, number of #COVID19 cases in Mazandaran increased from 606 to 620

According to Mazandaran Health authorities, numbers more than doubled: from 606 to 1226. [shocking]

This is a shitshow. 💩💩💩

A makeshift hospital is being built in the grounds of a Rasht hospital in Gilan province. #COVID19

Capacity will be 60 - that can be increased to 80.
This footage is from Marzan Abad, a border town between Tehran and Mazandaran. Vigilantes are taking control of the roads. This must be the 5th report of its kind and a worrying development. #COVID19

While the total number of cases in Khouzestan province is officially 69 (from 62 yesterday), it appears authorities are preparing a makeshift hospital in a sports hall in Mahshahr [Unconfirmed]. #COVID19
This appears to be MP to Chaloos and Noshahr in Mazandaran talking to President Rohani's administrator: "We have had so many casualties. Close the roads to Mazandaran. If you don't people will." #COVID19

And he is right - people have already done.

Another video of vigilantes closing roads in Marzan Abad to prevent non-locals entering the area. You can spot a Police car there too. #COVID19

[My guess is this gives the people a sense of control in a situation where they are left to their own devices with no help]
Health Ministry's representative to Gilan has taken back his earlier statement about 200 #COVID19 casualties just in Gilan. He is now saying due to lack of resources, it's not possible to prove this number.

[He seems to have been put under pressure]

Another video of a collapsed #COVID19 patient - this time in Shiraz. Ambulance is about to take the patient.
This is a shitshow.

As I reported earlier, the numbers doubled in Mazandaran (606 -> 1226) according to the province's health officials. Now Irna is denying the news and the interview has been remobved.

Another video from Vigilantes stopping the non-local traffic entering severely hit provinces. This one seems to be from the Qazvin-Rasht freeway between Qazvin and Gilan provinces. #COVID19
Tomorrow there will be an emergency meeting in the parliament's Health committee with the Health Minister and Head of the parliament taking part among others. #COVID19

Gilan Nursing Council, for the nth time: "With lack of protective gear, the lives of our nurses are in a grave danger"

Pictures showing vigilantes trying to control the entrance road to Gilan - preventing non-locals to enter.

After Gilan, Mazandarani Caucus in the parliament have written a letter to President Rouhani asking for quarantine of the province and sending out doctors, nurses and medical staff to help fighting #COVID19.

This is Urmia-Western Azarbaijan, furthest province in North West bordering Turkey. Vigilantes preventing vehicles with non-local number plates entering the province.

Pictures from a hospital in Langarud, Gilan. 122 patients crammed into a damp environment, with the medical staff being 'spent' caring for them. No more beds available.

Mazandaran's deputy Health Chief stating that all their available beds for acute respiratory cases have been occupied and they are under strain caring for #COVID19 patients.

Ending today with Mr. Saeid Taghizadeh. A bank clerk, young and full of life, he was suffering from #COVID19. Here he says he felt better and thanked everyone who cared for him. Later he passed away.

Everyone needs to protect themselves. People with influence to protect others.
PS - for everyone interested in the source of the video above, it is a journalist on the ground in Gilan.
