#Democrats are trying to weaponize #COVID19 against Trump. Good-hearted (and otherwise smart) supporters are trying to downplay the significance of #coronavirus in order to shield the President and counter the #Democrat attack.

Both are equally dangerous, and wrong.

Here's why:

The Democrats are weak. Under ordinary circumstances there is no way in hell they could ever even dent, let alone, beat, @realDonaldTrump. They know this, and have known it for some time. That's why every untied shoelace is used as an attacking point to try to gain some leverage.

THIS IS NO UNTIED SHOELACE. This is potentially the biggest challenge any American president has faced since at least World War II, and in my estimation it's much less of a winnable political fight than a war in which he can win just by rallying the troops properly.

No, this is

the kind of situation that could easily destroy an administration purely by the no-win nature of the fight. Democrats have NOTHING to beat Donald Trump with--but he and his supporters can easily beat themselves.

Here's how:
"It's just the flu".

This is a lie. In fact, this is a

reckless attempt, whether well-intentioned or simply ignorant, to calm the public with an untruth THEY WILL SOON SEE FOR THEMSELVES.

The lie will be exposed within the next three months, well before the election. This is why it's not only dangerous, but STUPID, for anyone to try

to poo-poo this pandemic and the effects--not just from the virus, but the much more devastating secondary effects--of what is GOING to come that people are GOING to experience first-hand.

The panic that Democrats are trying to foment in order to roil the markets and wreck the

glorious economy that is Trump's strongest re-election tool is unfortunate, but both predictable and essentially unbeatable. Lying about it only reinforces their position when the lie--OUR lie, as Trump supporters--is shown for what it is.

So what's the alternative?

Simply put, instead of the whole "just the flu" or "not a big deal" approach that too many of us are peddling, we need to be out front of this with a CALM and RATIONAL message of "yes, this could get very bad--so prepare as best you can, and then put your faith in Trump".

THEN--

We, as Trump supporters, turn every Democrat attack back on them once the brunt of the outbreak hits. How?

First, let's examine some realities; the virus is going to be bad. Most are going to survive it just fine, but most will ALSO endure some personal tragedy (an infant or

grandparent lost, business destroyed, job terminated, shortage experienced, violence witnessed) as a result of the situation. THIS IS INEVITABLE, unless a vaccine is produced, tested, and approved, inside of six months--a near impossibility. Democrats will blame these personal

tragedies on Trump administration policy (no matter if his response to this thing is sterling or not--you know every little hiccup is going to be attacked and every misstep turned into a giant bogeyman). But much of what is about to come is the DIRECT result of stupidity on the

part of past administrations and THE VERY CAREER POLITICIANS TRUMP WAS SENT TO "DRAIN THE SWAMP" OF. Some of these swamp-dwellers are Trump's direct foes, and will be his most vocal attackers. A couple are even running for Trump's seat.

So the WINNING STRATEGY is a direct,

forceful pushback on the very policies that got us here--and that were instituted long before Trump ever took office:

Our porous borders
Our dependence on foreign manufacturing
Our too-long dependence on foreign sources of energy
Too much of our economy tied to "global" concerns

A clearly untrustworthy media
Too much big-money influence in our process by George Soros (and others), who made his money crashing economies and then manipulating currency.
Too many business regulations/restrictions/taxes
Our absurd and out-of-touch Federal Reserve system

These are just a few of the MANY attack points that can be turned squarely on the status-quo, global-centric mindset and environment that has permeated Washington for decades. They're easy targets, and they play right into the Donald Trump narrative.

But we--Trump defenders--

LOSE GROUND every time we try too hard to downplay what is surely coming...and that ground will be PERMANENTLY LOST once the inevitable gets here.

Instead of burying our heads in the sand, or falsely trying to dismiss this as "no big deal", we need to be telling people--in fact

SCREAMING IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS--to "get ready":

PREPARE for the economy to sour, jobs to be lost, entire sectors to be potentially impacted.
PREPARE for shortages in everything from food to medicines, and yes, even toilet paper.
PREPARE for significantly curtailed access to

medical/healthcare, including first responders.
PREPARE for shortages in policing, and the potential for anarchy/chaos/rioting/looting, etc.
PREPARE for THE WORST, while hoping for the best and doing everything possible to protect yourself and your loved ones.

If we are out in

front of this, we take away the "see, I told you so!" that the Democrats surely have the higher ground on right now:

If we're saying "be ready to defend yourself and what's yours", how can the Left argue against our 2nd Amendment rights when/if law and order breaks down?

If we're saying "stock up on acetaminophen and ibuprofen right now, because it's going to run short since the vast majority of it comes from China", how can the Democrats defend the "globalist" approach they've been pushing for years?

If we're saying "BE SMART, and prepare!" how

can the Democrats later claim that ground? Instead, we can easily say "they pushed panic; we pushed preparedness".

What we CANNOT push--what we can no longer do--is pretend this is no big deal. THIS IS A BIG DEAL.

We need to get out in front of it NOW. We can't be cavalier.

This thread is my take on where we're going wrong as @realDonaldTrump supporters/#Republicans/LEADERS regarding the #COVID19 situation and what is surely coming. Please read it, offer opinions if you wish, and then--if you agree--begin adjusting the message.
