1/8 March 15: there are 313 #COVID19 cases in 🇨🇦, with 10 provinces now reporting a case. With the recent rapid⬆️in cases, Canada’s window to #FlattentheCurve is closing. The time for all Cdns to act is now. #doyourpart

2/8 🇨🇦 has completed over 25,000 lab tests to cast the net wide for possible #COVID19 cases among patients with influenza-like illness in clinic settings all the way up to severe respiratory illness in hospitals and even if there is no travel history.

3/8 #COVID19 is a serious public health threat. While this disease is particularly serious for older adults and medically vulnerable people, all ages are at risk. #FlattentheCurve

4/8 Actions we can all take to slow spread/reduce impact of #COVID19:

➡️postpone or cancel non-essential travel outside of #Canada
➡️avoid large gatherings/crowds
➡️distance 2 arm lengths from others
➡️if needed/possible, work from home

5/8 In particular, I am strongly recommending that all travellers arriving in Canada take the additional precaution to #selfisolate for 14 days.

6/8 Older adults and those w/ medical condition(s) are at higher risk for severe #COVID19. Practice #socialdistancing and separate yourself from others whenever and wherever you can.
