@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov For those looking to do this, I'd put down a breach of both points 2.1.2 (simulates news or events in such a way that is likely to mislead or alarm) and 2.1.4 ( this is a grey one but I think he qualifies, too long to post in a tweet, sorry)
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov Here is a little guide on how to make a complaint for those that would like one. I've written this with Alan Jones at 2GB (873 kHz) in mind but this works for anything, just swap the parts that matter.
There are a few steps but they are quick. 1/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov A few quick tips beforehand though:
1. Be prepared to follow up later with the ACMA. You can do this after the station fails to respond or their response didn't satisfy you but it won't be straight away, so set a reminder or something so you don't forget about it.
2/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov 2. Be polite, remember you aren't complaining to the person who caused this problem.
3. Be clear, make sure you explain why you are complaining clearly and effectively.
3/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov Step 1 - Fill out a complaint with radio complaints, about the presenter / station in question. For 2GB that is here:
complaint.radiocomplaints.com.au/?station=2GB

Make sure you include as much info as you can and include code provisions if possible.
4/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov The code is linked on that page, or you can find it here:
commercialradio.com.au/CR/media/Comme…

For Alan Jones it'll generally be from section 2.1, probably 2.1.2 or 2.1.4.

Anything marked with a * is required, but any extra information you can give should help the complaint go faster.
5/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov Step 2 - Make a copy of what you put in the complaint as you might need it again for step 3, and wait for their response. This might take a while, officially they have up to 60 days to respond to you, so be patient.
6/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov Step 3 - If you get a response and it hasn't addressed your problem, or you never got a response back, its time to go to the ACMA. You can make a complaint online here:
acma.gov.au/broadcasting-c…
7/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov Fill this form out with the same information from step 1 and make sure you also add the information about whether the station failed to respond, or if they did respond why you found the response unacceptable.
8/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov You can attach emails by ticking the "attach supporting documentation" option and saving the emails or screenshots of them. This will be very helpful and is highly recommended if you want your ACMA complaint to be taken seriously.
9/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov An example of my radio complaints form is here 10/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov And if I have to contact the ACMA it'll be like this:
11/n
@slpng_giants_oz @BrianMoylan4 @acmadotgov For extra information or if something here doesn't work, the ACMA have a guide on how to complain which also details the process, at:
acma.gov.au/complain-about…

12/12 - Congratulations, you have made it to the end!
