2) Key additional observations:
✏️Emerging evidence suggests that people with #COVID19 might be spreading virus w/out recognizing, or prior to recognizing, symptoms. This would make disease control measures that were effective against SARS-1 less effective against #COVID19.

3) Another key finding: 📌In contrast to SARS-CoV-1, most secondary cases of virus transmission of #SARSCoV2 appear to be occurring in community settings not healthcare settings. #COVID19

4) However, 📌healthcare settings are also vulnerable to the introduction and spread of SARS-CoV-2, and the stability of SARS-CoV-2 in aerosols and on surfaces likely contributes to transmission of the virus in healthcare settings. #COVID19 ➡️ We need to urgently protect HCWs!!!

5) One interesting nugget - “On cardboard, no viable SARS-CoV-2 was measured after 24 hours and no viable SARS-CoV-1 was measured after 8 hours” ➡️ it seems the new #SARSCoV2 survives 3x longer on cardboard than the old SARS. #COVID19 nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…
