I thank @NYGovCuomo for issuing his Executive Order. This WILL save lives. We have to sharply limit non-essential activity to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this pandemic. It's a race against time and every second is vital.

Do your part. We need you to REALLY limit the people you come in contact with. Anything non-essential MUST be postponed. If you need to go outside, practice social distancing and stay six feet apart from other people. Don’t linger, don’t be outside longer than necessary.
Beginning Sunday at 8 PM, @NYGovCuomo's order goes into effect and it’s simple: STAY INSIDE.

The NYPD will help us enforce this order by working with supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential services to make sure social distancing happens.

New York City is now at the epicenter of this crisis. As of today, we have 1/3 of cases in the country and 2/3 of those in New York State.

On Monday we will open 93 enrichment centers to take care of the children of our essential workers in this crisis.

Beginning Monday, 435 sites will be open for Grab-and-Go breakfast, lunch AND dinner for children. Any child under 18 is eligible. None will be turned away.
We’re also partnering with @DoorDash to get food to the homes of medically fragile students. No child will go hungry. Not on our watch.
