Sum total = ZERO for American citizens, workers & families/children

—Language on worker retention is weak, incl easy outs for corps—can fire at will
—Zero assurances/any proof US workers will benefit

The Senate #COVID19 bill:

🔹Only has a limited guarantee with almost no accountability on Only 3 months on Unemployment Insurance—severely insufficient length given the scope of this pandemic crisis

Oh & if you’re waiting for that $1200 check?

Designed to inject struggling families & inject money back into Trump’s failed recession economy?

That huge, central feature Trump & the GOP are claiming for a payments to every American?

It only applies if you make under
$24–$47K

So—The poorest families who have no taxable income only get $600. The max $1200 benefit won’t kick in til
individual income=$23,500, married couple= $47,000

Both w/caveats

So 64 MILLION of the poorest households/330M Americans would fail to get full benefits, via economists.

We live in a country where 75% are $400 away from financial catastrophe.

$1200 isn’t rent or a couple months of food—$600 is absurdity.

BTW? Direct payments are NOT available to MILLIONS of people who did not file a tax return in 2018 & 2019…those who don’t make enough to file

The one positive on #MoscowMitchSlushFund & the GOP #COVID19 plan?

To loan money to small businesses that keep their payrolls intact just through June…

But a majority of small businesses are now asking for donations & have set up GoFundMe’s, along with US #COVID19 victims.

The Senate #COVID19 bill is not intended to help Americans. Like their #GOPTaxScam, It’s another GOP SCAM to enrich their donors, Corps/CEOs, and the 1%.

…All while US taxpayers pay as Americans & families are potentially left homeless/destitute in a life or death pandemic.
