2/3 In the middle of a pandemic, this week the Secret Service signed a $45,000 "emergency order" to rent golf carts in Sterling, Va. -- home of @realdonaldtrump's Virginia golf club.

In the past, such rentals have preceded presidential golf trips.

3/3 The contract, which the Secret Service described as an “emergency order,” does not mention Trump or the golf club by name but closely mirrors past contracts signed by the Secret Service for agents accompanying Trump to his New Jersey & Florida clubs.

1/13 Time to take a look at one of civilization's worst creations: the coverup.

The coverup is a #disinformation method used by the rich & powerful to hide something they don't want to get out.

From time immemorial, nobility & churches, corporations & governments have used it.
2/13 There are 2 main goals in a coverup.

One is to hide evidence of wrongdoing.

The other is to hide weakness or, conversely, appear strong. Sometimes these overlap.

The 1918 Flu Epidemic coverup was primarily about looking strong & maintaining morale.
3/13 When you engage in a coverup to hide weakness, it often leads to wrongdoing or atrocities furthering the need for the coverup, a spiraling situation.

1/21 As I write this thread, this story is still developing.

What we currently know, though, is that at least four GOP Senators took what they learned from early coronavirus briefings &, rather than help their constituents, used it to line their pockets through insider trading.
2/21 California Rep. Duncan Hunter was just sentenced to 11 months for misusing campaign funds.

Martha Stewart went to jail for insider trading.

What these GOP Senators did is far worse, for there is a level of criminal negligence that has surely lead to American deaths.
3/21 Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr, from North Carolina, was the first to be outed through secret recordings that revealed him warning certain VIP constituents of a definite oncoming pandemic and economic collapse.

Initial commit: 4:22pm Thursday
Live service: 10:53am Monday

The form sounds fairly bread-and-butter, but GOV.UK is mostly content, not forms. So how? Government has a few low-code form builders, but GDS don't have a preferred one. We spoke to @MoJGovUK about theirs, and looked closely at a few others.
