So, I have a super off the wall theory about where all this money from the backroom dirty dealing through the Clinton Foundation and Hillary's State Department went. DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A HYPOTHESIS.
So, like @drawandstrike says, the Democrat party as a whole was flush with foreign cash. HOWEVER, there is also the problem that Hillary stripped the downballot tickets of funding through ripping the money away from the Victory Fund through the DNC
The DNC itself was dead broke after Debbie Wasserman Schultz and by extension Obama was done with it, as per Donna Brazile.
The Clinton campaign put the DNC on basically a line of credit, trading cash for control. So a thought occurs to me: the $1.4 billion total we see that Hillary spent in the 2016 election, what if that wasn't all the money that the Clinton machine actually spent?
So run with this thought here. SuperPACs are special in that they don't have to disclose their donors, in exchange for not coordinating with the individual campaigns (unless you're Hillary Clinton and leaked Podesta emails show blatant coordination with the SuperPAC CTR.)
Hillary's campaign effectively ripped off all the downballot tickets of a lot of their funding, by dropping the money in then having the DNC take it right back out before transferring THAT money to the Clinton campaign.
PRESUMABLY this was to evade the individual campaign contribution limits that would have come into play if the money were donated directly to Hillary by the donors.
But Hillary's been known to play HARDBALL politics. A lot of emphasis on loyalty and the like.
So, the hypothesis. Again, STRICTLY a hypothesis. Donna Brazile confirmed that Hillary kept the DNC in debt to her campaign in exchange for control. WHAT IF she did the same effective thing to all the downballot candidates.
She takes their funding from the Victory Fund, for her campaign, and then directs the foreign funds from the Clinton Foundation and such through law firms and such to airdrop the money into superPACs for the downballot candidates.
She hobbles the downballot candidates, forces them to be dependent on superPACs that she herself is funding. When she presumably won, she'd have what she thought would be a Democrat government or at least a 50/50 split with enough GOP traitors to run the country as she saw fit.
And best yet? they'd ALL be beholden to her. If this IS what happened, and all the dirty money that kept the Democrats still in office is what's holding their strings even as Hillary continues to act as detrimentally as possible, perhaps they STILL ARE.
How else do you explain the self destructive, lemming-like behavior of the Democrats in still in congress beyond just sheer partisan cognitive dissonance? With a DNC in shambles and the party at war with itself between the neolibs and the socialists, who holds the pursestrings?
Why do you think that they're going to do a sudden turn and viciously attack Mueller? Because he just found out who funded ALL of their campaigns, and whose money they used to do it.
