I've been cogitating a strange notion lately—an intuition, one that's a bit tricky to explain.

permit me to state my assumptions: I believe that it's possible to assign the general label of "Christian God" to something *concrete*, and which is in fact quite small.

(1/x)
this is where I've always differed from the atheists: I've always felt that "God" wasn't a nonexistent entity, but rather an entity that was something different, something smaller and more limited, than what #Christian doctrine (and Western culture) claims about their God.

(2/x)
Dr. @RichardDawkins supplied a hint: it's possible that "God" is memetic in nature.

Dawkins hasn't (to my knowledge) ever analyzed the matter further—maybe because it threatened the rigidity of his #atheism to admit that God had *some* sort of existence, even a weak one.

40 Deep #SEO Insights for 2023:

-In 2022, I told to focus on Natural Language Generation, and it happened.
-In 2023, F-O-C-U-S on "Information Density, Richness, and Unique Added Value" with Microsemantics.

I call the collection of these, "Information Responsiveness".

1/40 🧵.
1. PageRank Increases its Prominence for Weighting Sources

Reason: #AI and automation will bloat the web, and the real authority signals will come from PageRank, and Exogenous Factors.

The expert-like AI content and real expertise are differentiated with historical consistency.
2. Indexing and relevance thresholds will increase.

Reason: A bloated web creates the need for unique value to be added to the web with real-world expertise and organizational signals. The knowledge domain terms, or #PageRank, will be important in the future of a web source.

Hiring woes and writers: Why is it a struggle? [Mini 🧵🧵🧵]

Some #writers are genius #marketers.

They plug into a company and intuitively understand pain points better than the internal team.

This is what many people are trying to hire for.

The biggest problems I've seen 👇
1) A company gets a taste of really great copy/content from a writer who under-values their worth.

That person eventually leaves when they recognize that.

The company has calibrated its mental budget to an early star's insecure rates - struggles to find a replacement.

Or...
2) A lot of companies are sitting on Fiverr or Upwork.

Their writer hiring strategy?

Hope that they randomly draw a name of a talented, undervalued writer out of thousands, maybe millions, of people calling themselves "writers"

For #SEOs and #marketers out there:

Your pillar/cluster does not have to be the same as your competitors.

Use competitor's clusters for ideas, but ultimately you'll need to decide what makes the most sense for your client.
A lot of people (myself included) like to look at what has worked for other companies to rank similar content.

Meaning, what topics did they clump together.

Hint: For internal links and cluster information run ScreamingFrog's visualization tools.
Do that for every competitor on page 1 for a pillar keyword and you'll notice that their clusters can be wildly different.

Your cluster should tell a comprehensible story and create a funnel.

Moral of the story:

Hoy en #MartesDeTips conversemos sobre la diferenciación
¿Cómo diferenciarme de mi competencia? En tiempos de tanta competencia, ¿Cómo buscar la diferenciación?

#CrecerConMarketing #AprenderConProteina #ProteinaTips #Marketing #ProteinaMarketing #Marketers

There seemed to be some confusion about (the use of) words in @CommonsHealth Committee yesterday morning, so here's a [Thread] to try to clarify.

First "#commercial". It is of course the case that many parts of the #NHS use commercial providers, e.g. of software, whether that...
...is @Microsoft365 for word processing, spreadsheets & e-mail; or IT systems to handle patients' records in hospitals (e.g. @CernerUK) & General Practice (e.g. @TPP_SystmOne, @EMISHealth, @CegedimHS); or software to drive complicated equipment like #MRIscanners, etc.

This is...
..entirely normal use of #commercial software & software services, for which the #NHS body is the #DataController. Apart from when that software goes wrong, I don't believe many would have concerns about this.

Then there are #commercial providers of #NHS services, about which...

Ugandan entrepreneurs paired up with professionals to boost their businesses.

Marketers were the most effective support, growing monthly #revenue 52%.

Why? What did they do?
Compared to others (e.g. consultants), #marketers focused more on the product.

What should the business sell to stand out and make more #profit?

What #premium product offering will differentiate them?
This is an indication of what makes marketers most valuable.

Ad campaigns, content marketing, are all valuable. But at its core, the power of #marketing is differentiation in the market.

And that's something many entrepreneurs don’t do on their own.

#Crypto exchanges need to develop a tracking code / pixel / link that helps marketers prove whether their landing page / marketing initiative converted a buy order on the exchange (existing exchange customers already or not). A referral for signup isn't enough.
2) How is a marketer expected to prove that marketing is helping drive awareness + buyers for a #crypto project? The most he can do is increase project follow counts, develop unique tools and use Google Analytics tools to prove potential exchange conversions i.e. clicks on links.
3) We all have big plans for driving fresh eyes to #crypto and helping the ecosystem grow, but we need tools designed to help professionals prove the effectiveness of their work:

We’re all biased to use the tools we know

Which is good in one sense bc we know the tools.

But challenging...because it may not be the best approach/tool for the job.

We need to consciously counteract our bias to use the tools we know (1/3)
So #developers need to counteract their instinct to solve with building. And #designers to solve with design. And #marketers to solve with marketing. And #prodmgmt to solve with [for another tweet]. Etc.

People realize this in retrospect. Binging on @IndieHackers today... (2/3)

This episode was amazing as @arvidkahl and @SimpsonDaniK strike a great balance between research, discipline, and “building”.
