This is how groovy my wife is: she just finished restoring this 1970-ish American Flyer muscle bike for herself. Total project cost: $40
It will be riding on the bumper of the 1959 Airstream she's restoring
I had a Schwinn Stingray, but always dug those off-brand hardware store/ gas station muscle bikes... Huffys, American Flyers, etc
For pure dragster/muscle bike panache, it is hard to top the Raleigh Chopper
The greatest bike design ever was the Bowden Spacelander. Prototype debuted at the 1946 'Britain Can Make It' show in UK, but didn't go into production until 1959 in Michigan. Only about 500 were made. I want one for the Airstream, but they cost 3x the Airstream
