The President is an entertaining show, but Kennedy resigning, with so much of American law in the balance, strikes me as too predictable. The Mueller/impeachment plot line has more potential to surprise.
I assume the writers will try to link them: Mueller reveals that Trump’s business is based largely on money laundering Russian organized crime money, and the Senate responds with a Supreme Court confirmation hearing.
Trump’s impeachment then leads Congress to expand the Supreme Court to 11 members, with the two new Justices to be nominated in 2021 by President Sanders.
Meanwhile, the new conservative Supreme Court races to undo old precedents before President Sanders takes office. Can they grant cert in time? Stay tuned!
I just hope they cut the scene where Pence pulls off his mask and reveals he is really Vladimir Putin. That’s just silly.
