Why do we need a #PeoplesVote? Because Northern Ireland got one.

Before the Good Friday Agreement was signed, they had a referendum where everyone in Northern Ireland got a copy of the agreement. They could see what they were voting for in black&white. All Brits deserve that too
Whether it's the Chequers Deal the government's proposing, or a #NoDealBrexit, it would be a complete failure of British Democracy to allow such a fundamental change to the country based on a 4% margin, without letting people see the deal first.

I don't have a party to run / election to win, so maybe it's rich of me to stand on principle; maybe I'm naive, but...
I'm not willing to pretend that a good Brexit deal is possible just because I'm scared people (who I should have won over on Brexit) might think I'm ruining it.
I get why some might choose that due to their own strategic priorities. But if we go down the path of "keep trying Brexit until every last person is convinced it can't work":
a) We risk crashing out.
b) People would blame the EU not Brexit #HowWeGotInThisMess
c) It's dishonest
🔻The Tories want to endanger the Belfast Agreement which the EU won't allow. And even this Brexit will be rejected.
🔻Labour's Brexit must meet the 6 tests. That means Single Market & Customs Union. Parliament would never approve that for the same reasons we're stuck now.

So main points to take from the Irish protocol are: The preamble has changed slightly, emphasises this protocol is temporary, it is not the future relationship, doesn't want to break up the UK single market. Preambles are not legally binding, but important for interpretation.

Brexit was about taking control of Money, Laws and Borders. So let's look at how we actually loose control of all three.

Let's take back Control of our borders whilst giving up controls on our borders.

The latest mad Brexit plan requires no customs border and no border controls. And it's all of course going to lead to the bust up of the Good Friday Agreement. Bye bye NI
Schroedinger's Money.

Take control of our money whilst losing control of more money.

Save a pound but lose 2 you've lost a pound overall. But in brexit maths that's a win. The money we save from the EU is much less than we lose and that's before we pay for things like the NHS.

What's the deal with Theresa May's silence about chequers?
Here's a speculation. By basically not talking about it, she hopes it will be adopted by default.
If ERG can't agree and don't publish their plan, we face a choice between chequers and no deal 1/
If the ERG proposals would be published, then the choice becomes ERG vs Chequers. Since ERG proposals are very likely going to violate the Good Friday Agreement and won't maintain health, safety standards and consumer protections Labour would vote it down 2/
And that would again leave the choice between chequers or no deal. Given how apocalyptic no deal would be, it is likely that Labour MPs would be able to provide the majority for May's chequers proposal even though it would fail Starmer's tests 3/

Right. I'm ready to call it! The UK government is aiming for the #Brexit negotiations to lead to:

- A Norway deal
- A 'Norway' v '#Remain' referendum.

Why Norway?

Well, the answer to that lies on the island of #Ireland. Due to the GFA, there are not many ways of squaring the circle of having the hard border that is required by the WTO, Northern Ireland remaining in the UK and the UK being outside the customs union.
So the options faced by HMG are:

1 - call a border poll and let Northern Ireland and the Republic reunite as a single entity. While the Conservatives are nominally the Conservative & Unionist Party, there are many who would not share a tear at the loss of NI....

requiring both the SM & CU.
