I'm not here to tell you people have changed their minds on whether we should leave the EU (Others can do that).
My point is: The Brexit we're getting is not the Brexit we voted for.
Anyone who wants out for more control, isn't going to like a Brexit deal that means less control.
This is what they're doing with your Brexit vote.
Does this sound like 'taking back control' or surrendering it?
There are those calling this 'Brexit in Name Only'. It's not!
This is a Brexit that ACTUALLY surrenders British Sovereignty!

Market pressures and the countries you trade with are what shape your laws. By setting the rules of the EU, we're FAR MORE powerful on both!

I don't have a party to run / election to win, so maybe it's rich of me to stand on principle; maybe I'm naive, but...
I'm not willing to pretend that a good Brexit deal is possible just because I'm scared people (who I should have won over on Brexit) might think I'm ruining it.
I get why some might choose that due to their own strategic priorities. But if we go down the path of "keep trying Brexit until every last person is convinced it can't work":
a) We risk crashing out.
b) People would blame the EU not Brexit #HowWeGotInThisMess
c) It's dishonest
🔻The Tories want to endanger the Belfast Agreement which the EU won't allow. And even this Brexit will be rejected.
🔻Labour's Brexit must meet the 6 tests. That means Single Market & Customs Union. Parliament would never approve that for the same reasons we're stuck now.

I talked to business lobby groups, Stephen Kelly from @ManufacturingNI fresh back from talks with Barnier. And bosses of big companies.

- all-UK in a temporary customs Union
- Northern Ireland only in Single Market for goods, via devolution

1. The impossibility of meaningful treaty reform. We cannot edit the supranationalist DNA of the EU
2. The exclusion of the public from decisions relating to further integration. See Treaty of Lisbon.

1) Thread - All Brexits are bad and what we voted for
It's often said by brexiters that "it's not all about economics"
However, the *actual* Leave campaign was almost wholly about economic arguments

With the leak of this 2-8% report those arguments are now trashed
2) We seem to have forgotten this however economics played a huge part in the Vote Leave campaign, making up over 2/3rds of the primary arguements. The clear message was we would at the least be no worse off and at best much better off. 4 of the 6 below state this clearly
3) & the fact is voters believed we would be no worse off. People prioritized immigration certainly, but against a backdrop of there being no consequences from Brexit - few are prepared to actually pay for ending FoM
