Gigantic crashes have become inevitable because powerful social productive forces have become subordinated to a gang of rich men whose only concern is to make profits.
This tendency towards an unlimited expansion of industry inevitably comes into conflict with the limited powers of consumption of the broad masses of workers, hence the inevitability of overproduction crises under capitalism.
