The @TB_Times almost made me throw up with their, "Some Florida Democrats wonder: Did Andrew Gillum lose because of race?" headline.

Are they too young to remember Barack Obama carrying the state of Florida... twice?

This is why we want to do the post-election interviews.
Btw, just in case the @TB_Times actually does care about the truth, it was corruption and ideology, combined with a base stampede by Trumplicans.

That is why Andrew Gillum lost. The corruption questions were too much, and he was too liberal. It turned off late-deciding indies.
Egh, you know me. Can't let it go. The "Florida is a racist state" crap isn't gonna fly with me. Florida isn't liberal, either.

Let's take a look at "who" the undecided electorate was in the Sunshine Battleground Poll, and what they thought of Gillum's policies. Latter first.
Q: "Would you ever consider voting for a governor, who supports imposing a state income tax on Florida?"

Overall, "No" tracked in the mid-high 50s, hitting as high as 61!%. Low = 56%. "Yes" obviously favored @AndrewGillum, while "No" favored @RonDeSantisFL.

But look at Unsure.
In previous graphic, it's clear Gillum had a larger chunk of voters who were "Unsure" about voting for a gov who supports a state income tax. But it didn't hold and we can clearly see why. Here we filtered only respondents who said "No" or were "Unsure." Wait, it'll get worse...
Here we filtered respondents who were "Unsure/Undecided" in the gubernatorial contest AND let's compare their responses about the state income tax.

As you can clearly see, those who were opposed or unsure made up 21% of the 22% who were undecided about the gubernatorial contest.
That closed in the finals from Saturday to Sunday night, and Ron DeSantis' already small deficit evaporated as those voters decided on him.

But again, even before that, all (sound data) indicated we were going to see a very close race. Truly undecided voters weren't liberal.
Look at the final night, alone. There were around 40 responses from moderates who claimed to still be undecided. Not a single one supported a state income tax in Florida.

Not. A. Single. One.

Now, that's not the case with the 3-day. But it was still viewed as fringe leftwing.
Point being, undecideds were much more favorable to Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott. I can't speak about Nelson+7s or Gillum+13s.

That was never reality.

I can only tell you our data suggested Scott was the favorite & Gillum had a very, very soft lead, with no one left to convince.
