THREAD.

Another year, another wild ride. Amid all the ups & downs, we have so much to be thankful for. Let’s review: 1/
We remain thankful for the leadership of the folks at @indivisibleteam, who have continued to offer tools, resources & inspiration. The new Indivisible 2.0 Guide will be invaluable in the fights ahead. Time to go on the offense. 2/
We are thankful that we can say without equivocation: Colorado experienced a #BlueTsunami. Congratulations to the victorious candidates who have given Democrats complete control of CO government for the first time in years. We now expect results. 3/
We are thankful for the army of volunteers in CO6 who started as early as *January* knocking on doors & building the movement that culminated in the historic victory for @JasonCrowC06. This was a victory for the people. 4/
We are thankful for the progressive volunteers who not only voted, but who also turned out EVERYWHERE. This year’s #BlueWave didn’t just happen (& make no mistake, it *happened*), it was built through the tireless labor of people who knew a different country was possible. 5/
We are thankful for the unprecedented diversity in this year’s newly elected officials across national, state & local elections. Representation matters, & we’re another step closer to having governments that more fully & accurately reflect the people they serve. 6/
We are thankful for those candidates — Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams, Beto O’Rourke, & others — who, even though they didn’t win their races, demonstrated that progressive ideas can be competitive anywhere. Next time around, the result will be more than just a moral victory. 7/
We are thankful that @SenCoryGardner is up for re-election in less than two years. Tick tock. corycountdown2020.com 8/
We are thankful for the role of the judiciary in continuing to block the administration’s efforts to abuse power & subvert the rule of law. Our “law and order” president continues to get schooled in the real meaning of law and order. 9/
We are thankful for organizations like @raicestexas & @AlOtroLado_Org who work tirelessly to aid immigrant families & asylum seekers in the face of this administration’s inhumane border policies. 10/
We are thankful for the Parkland survivors, who turned personal tragedy into an inspiring movement. They, along with groups like @MomsDemand, are working to combat the shameful national epidemic of gun violence & ensure a safer future for our communities. 11/
We are thankful for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford who, at enormous personal cost, bravely came forward to tell her story. She & all in the #MeToo movement remind us how much work must still be done to eradicate toxic masculinity & a culture permissive of sexual harassment & abuse.12/
We are thankful for journalists who, despite the constant stream of disgraceful lies, abuse, & threats from the president & his followers, go to work each day with the goal of informing the public & making sure the powerful are held accountable. 13/
We are thankful for all those, including our friend @RByrdConsulting, who are doing the tireless work of helping us learn how to see & dismantle white supremacy in ourselves & our institutions. 14/
We are thankful for @BHI_DaveRussell, whose images document the heart, soul, & power of our local #Resistance family. 15/
We are thankful for Robert Mueller, who keeps on keeping on. The truth will out. 16/
We are thankful for the continued spirit of protest in the millions of Americans who remain prepared to take to the streets in opposition to injustice. Let no one doubt that this movement has staying power. 17/
And last but certainly not least, we are thankful for YOU, the people who not only dare to dream of a better future for our country, but who are also willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work to make that dream a reality. 18/18
