Non-mutual collateral estoppel is the legal term for when a case has been litigated to completion in one venue, that for the sake of judicial efficiency, the next case can rely on the facts established in the first case.

That means that when New York gets their court ruling, Trump won't be able to argue the facts of the case, which will make things MUCH easier for prosecutors seeking to bring new charges on those facts, if the AG wins.
