May had gall to say just now that a new referendum would do damage to integrity of our democracy. What does she think would be the result of a no-deal scenario that literally kills people? This is unhinged.
Corbyn is absolutely right. May has renegotiated nothing and will not achieve anything over Christmas and New Year. There is no possible reason to delay vote till mid-January. This is a contempt of Parliament and the British people.
Justine Greening spot on. MPs are doing their job by putting forward other proposals. May is refusing debate. Her gov is corroding democracy. Time to remember that this country has parliamentary sovereignty: PM is not an absolute monarch, no matter how much she would like to be
Literally unbelievable. May now implying that people voted to end free movement even if that meant no deal. There are genuinely no words to convey her depth of shame and disgrace. May’s reputation is irrecoverable and her premiership is the worst nightmare of our lives.

Oh wow. Wow. WOW. For the first time EVER May has admitted some Leavers may not have voted to end free movement. She said ‘some’ did. That means it *necessarily* wasn’t ‘what people voted for’. So there we have it. There’s no majority to end free movement. She has nothing left.
May has got this totally wrong. We don’t ‘assume’ anything about a second referendum. If people see this turkey on the table and want to vote for it, that’s their right and we’ll accept it. The democratic outrage is not to ask them first.
