Here's proof of Preston's involvement with Blackburn. (Paperwork showing him as her '02 org head; his own website still calling himself that was live as late as 2014.

Let's all not lose sight of the fact that Blackburn was a Vice Chair of the Trump Inaugural Committee, one of only nine members of Congress to so serve.

One of the issues coming to light lately has been Russia-friendly Ukrainians doing business at the Inauguration.

Lots more on Preston from our thread last summer. He went to college abroad in Russia, opened a satellite law office there, wrote many books on Russian law, keeps a portrait of Putin in his office - as reported in various docs.
All along Blackburn herself has refused to confirm or deny meeting with Torshin.
Our theory: Of course she did, she knows there's proof, and she hopes avoiding a flat denial will stop the info from leaking.

But press photos and other clues put her in proximity to Torshin both in 2012 - here they both are at the @TNGOP election party on November 7, 2012 at Lowes Vanderbilt -
and obviously we can prove both Torshin and Butina came to the 2015 @NRA Convention in Nashville, since there's a photo of them at the Country Music Hall at the top of the thread (Torshin has also been widely reported having tried to meet Trump here in '15.)
Here's a contemporaneous op-ed Blackburn wrote in @Tennessean about the @NRA convention - second largest ever at the time. Obviously she was very involved.

As to motivation, one thing we can say with confidence: Blackburn has been ethically challenged since her start in public life. She funneled over $1 million to her family members
does things like fail to pay her mortgage and taxes (this is not the only example)
