I used to report almost daily antisemitic threats w little action from Twitter, but some people lightly mocking thin-skinned blue-checks leads to immediate suspensions.

The selective enforcement will eventually kill this platform.
I’ve seen some of the funniest and best accounts on here suspended over jokes and other insignificant violations while others get away with actual threats, harassment, and abuse.

Everyone knows the enforcement is selective and it feels like it has been getting worse lately.
Personally, I prefer they just stop trying to police speech. They should focus exclusively on direct and explicit harassment. Otherwise, Twitter can’t continue to apply the rules selectively if they want to maintain their value.

Insane. This is a bill to protect the lives of babies that are already born. What reasonable excuse can anyone have to object to such a bill other than to deny legal protections to those babies?

If you think those babies are already protected, what’s the harm in voting for it?
“I’m not for murdering babies, I’m just against laws that make it illegal to do so..”

How the hell do some Democrats think they can get away with that logic???

Oh right. Because the people who are supposed to hold them accountable don’t see a problem with it.
That's the thing. 80+% of Americans, including most Democrats, oppose third trimester abortions. Safe to assume the % that oppose infanticide is even higher. It's just many Dem politicians that insist on catering to the ghoulish abortion lobby.

Imagine how Kavanaugh felt about an uncorroborated allegation from 3+ decades earlier, which every outlet treated as if it were true.
And no, we should not assume Fairfax is guilty. Thus far all we have is an allegation. But the difference in treatment from the press is noticeable.
Although I will note the evidence here is way more substantial than in the Kavanaugh case. Fairfax admits to knowing the accuser and having a sexual encounter. Dispute is over what happened during that encounter.

Yet media has treated this allegation with much more skepticism.

Last night I promised a thread about #abortion before Roe v Wade legalized it nationally. Until the mid-1800s, common law allowed abortion until "quickening", when fetal movement can be felt. Toxic abortion remedies & doctors competing w midwives led to… 1/
laws outlawing abortion except where pregnancy was likely to be fatal spreading across the country. Bottled abortion remedies could be and were fatal, and doctors, almost all white and male, didn't want midwives competing with them for pregnancy care. 2/
