*Sigh* 1) You didn't read today's proposal 2) level of ignorance is always astonishing.

Every one of those regimes start with promises such as free healthcare, education, wealth redistribution etc. Then you run out of other people's money, economy crashes, stagflation hits...
People start to get upset about inevitable consequences they weren't expecting. Since those in charge have already consolidated power to be able to pursue these goals, they start using that power to silence critics. They insist it's those critics who are preventing their success.
The few in power are insulated and enjoying the wealth they seized, while everyone else begins to suffer. Although at least it is shared misery.

We've seen this pattern repeat over & over. Road to hell is paved w good intentions, but now you should know that's where this leads.
I mean you don't even have to look back that far. Venezuela pursued this exact path, and went from one of the richest countries in South America to people breaking into zoos to try to find food in just a few decades.

It's not a coincidence it happens every time.
