BREAKING—Trump right now is dealing w/ backlog of immigration cases w/ callous disdain for due process.
He’s moved life & death deportation cases-suddenly & en masse-to earlier, unexpected dates w/o notice to/consent of counsel. No opportunity to prepare.
We’re fighting back.

“The complete lack of notice is yet another example of ongoing series of insidious attempts to strip due & procedural fairness from immigration proceedings. As public defenders representing immigrants, we demand fairness &justice for our clients & condemn this egregious action.” 
And note: We only know about this egregiousness bc we—& @LegalAidNYC & @BronxDefenders—are among only offices funded to rep immigrants. No right to counsel in immigration proceedings. We’re on the ground. We see it. And so can fight it. Another reason universal rep is critical.
