it’s astonishing how much of DC press corps is normalizing Trump by reporting on a Mueller Report nobody can read....I think they’re playing along bc they don’t want to acknowledge how astonishingly insulting/embarrassing they don’t access to most important document in decades
it’s Trump giving press yet another F-You and it’s humiliating, so they don’t want to dwell on the charade now taking place in newsrooms around the country
it’s attempt at self-preservation, both publlically and privately—nobody wants to admit they’re being utterly steamrolled

Some of you get upset whenever I point out that MSNBC and CNN are misleading you, because you enjoy watching them. But I originally went into political journalism because of how inaccurately MSNBC and CNN were covering the 2016 election. Someone had to push back with the facts...
What we're seeing on MSNBC and CNN tonight is some of the most intentionally and grotesquely misleading coverage ever. They're falsely equating "no more Mueller indictments" with "no more indictments" to scare/outrage you into staying tuned in, when they know better...
Adam Schiff & Richard Blumenthal, who know a lot more about this probe than anyone on TV, both called in to MSNBC and tried to set the record straight about indictments. MSNBC cut Blumenthal off mid sentence so it could keep pushing the "no one else will be indicted" narrative...

Most of the abuses that this sector of media is critical about come from internet giants, who pay lip service in response, because those abuses are very profitable, & regulation is unlikely in the US & users not motivated enough to change their usage of networks. /2
US regulation that would help stop the criticized practices is unlikely to help, mainly because Congress isn't qualified to design these regulations, so they would leave it to lobbyists working for the industry to be regulated /3
