-Meanwhile back in reality-
I find this manipulative weaponising of trans victimhood to be repugnant.

Real hatred, discrimination and inequality is being cynically or idiotically conflated with any and all defence of sexual reality or with the meaningfulness for billions of women of biological sex in a sexist world.

A dogmatic flight from reality is being promoted, an authoritarian, anti-intellectual, anti-collectivist and anti-female politics of gender identity and all supposedly in the name of progressive politics. It is shameful.

I have never personally been confronted in all my years of socialist political campaigning by such a manipulative and so tragically regressive abuse of an oppression narrative as that being promoted by toxic sex-denialists (trans or not) & supposedly in my name as a transwoman.

This sexism in new clothes is not in my name. I refuse to accept that my liberation will EVER come from denying the biological & socialised uniqueness of women or their sex-based oppression. Still less from trying to crush their right to political autonomy, to boundaries,

to uphold the sex-based rights which already exist in law. Bullying women to the point of them being unable to defend & debate their rights as a sex without harassment, abuse & threats is NOT fighting transphobia or addressing structural discrimination

On the contrary it is creating huge waves of anger, incredulity, resentment & fear, all whilst letting the establishment off the hook. It risks opening the door to the right & to more prejudice not less.

Instead of appeals to reason & to an honest, potentially unifying discourse with oppressed women we have instead this divisive & disastrous appeal to block out women & reason with emotion via flaunting of a ‘perceived’ or proclaimed ultra-victimhood.

We have hypocrisy upon hypocrisy. You rail against the questioning of gender identity....yet question women’s sex, you complain of lost opportunities & feeling ‘unsafe’ yet you would have other Philosopher’s reputations utterly destroyed, perhaps even criminalise them and

make them as individuals, direct objects of hate. Do you have any idea what people like you are putting others through? It’s a disgrace. Can you instead please grow up and have an adult discussion that recognises that both trans people AND women are oppressed, that there are

some extremely vulnerable trans people & some extremely vulnerable women? That we disagree profoundly about sex & gender yet we need to be able to resolve these issues if we’re to find humane, reasonable solutions that try to respect the dignity, rights & autonomy of both groups
