Most headlines re-reporting WaPo's Pfizer story are badly stretching. An apparent correlation in claims data is not close to conclusive. Also, inflammation re: Alzheimer’s would be moot if Enbrel doesn’t reach brain tissue. That should've been WaPo's focus. Not agenda quotes.
I'm no apologist for drug companies, but it's a big stretch to claim Pfizer "buried findings" that Enbrel prevented Alzheimer’s, let alone that they did so for their bottom line. American Academy of Neurology's study in May 2015 was inconclusive. Issue is reaching brain tissue.
On whether Enbrel does, “While there were some interesting trends that favored [Enbrel], the American Academy of Neurology found "there were no statistically significant changes in cognition, behavior, or global function."

That backs Pfizer's rationale and explanation.
