Whiny, entitled, hubris. It is obvious he won't atone, but he needs to stop misrepresenting his record on this and stop misrepresenting historical context. He spents YEARS leading the Senate charge and collaborating with segregationists against busing.
Stop distorting the nature of Black opposition to busing. Black students were ALREADY being bused, but to segregated schools. Busing backlash wasn't widespread until Black students weren't the only ones to be bussed. Check this from DE State Sen Herman Holloway (busing proponent)
In his 1st Senate campaign Biden presented himself at the DE NAACP as a "proponent of 'busing for 'quality education for all children'". He told Black voters in the thick of a DECADES long battle he supported their cause only to lead the charge against busing once elected.
Biden undermined busing in an impactful way & it was controversial even back then. He was blasted by civil rights groups i.e. NAACP. The lone Black US Sen Edward Brooke fiercely resisted Biden's efforts. Biden is entitled to double down on his record, but NOT to rewrite history.
