Basically medical staff who hit their lifetime pension contribution allowance would end up working for free (or even having to pay to work) because of the way the system is put together. It's a combination of factors, some of which work against others.
This was presumably eminently preventable, but everyone is distracted by the bawling Brexit baby, so nothing gets solved. And doctors - especially senior staff - are quitting as a result, with many retiring early. What a mess!

It's like watching evolution, only speeded up... and, some might argue, played backwards. Imagine if TIGCUKTIFGUK had stuck to one logo, one name and one plan from the start! There was a genuine heady air of excitement and optimism for the first few weeks, but then...
I gave them plentiful benefit of the doubt through the first few iterations because what they represented was new and shiny and exciting. But eventually it dawned on me that the "Change" bit related to their own organisation more than to politics at large.

So, Labour's Brexit position is now clearer:
A) If it's a Tory Brexit, Labour will demand a referendum (but very likely won't get it). If there is a referendum, they will campaign for remain.
B) If there's a GE, they will campaign for Brexit, negotiate their own deal, then ?????
(It's still not very clear what Labour would do if they're in power - intentionally so, since they're trying to be ambiguous - but they certainly plan a pro-Brexit stance going into a GE. Note that a "Labour Brexit" is still Brexit, so if you want a Remain party Labour's not it.)
Open question as to what happens if Tories go ahead with Brexit & Labour fails to get both a referendum & GE. How will they position themselves on e.g. a reheated version of May's deal, or a harder or no-deal Brexit? Again, if you're looking for a Remain saviour, Labour's not it!
