Growing tensions in al-Hawl camp: Several pics and videos show kids raising the Tawheed banner as used by ISIS. This comes after restrictions by the administration after camp guards were stabbed.

This is not the first time the flag was raised in al-Hawl, last week a flag was hoisted at a fence there. A few days ago, some women recorded a video, renewing their Bayah to al-Baghdadi.

Some days ago, a young SDF guard at al-Hawl camp was stabbed by ISIS supporters in the camp, the second stabbing attack in the last month. The guard was one of the kindest guys around, German women there told me.
After the attack, the camp admin closed the annex areas.

Before the attack, the women from the guarded ISIS area were allowed to go to the market in the public area of the camp. Now the camp admin has created a small market within the guarded ISIS area, which sells goods for much higher prices.

The ISIS supporters in al-Hawl are a growing threat, spreading pictures of specific guards at the camp and calling for attacks on them.

Note there are several annex areas with former ISIS members. The majority of those who were in Baghuz till the final days are in one area, among them are several ISIS supporters. In another annex area are many Hazimis, who left ISIS earlier and are somewhat more radical Jihadis.

The third group are those who are disillusioned and have distanced themselves from Jihadism to a varying degree, but are afraid of ISIS supporters and Hazimis.

After Asayish took down the flag yesterday in al-Hawl, another one was reportedly raised today, leading to another scuffle with the camp guards who again took it down.

Some of the more radical women in al-Hol complain about alleged Christian Proselytism as the UNHCR tents include a cross-shaped window. Their solution: cut it.

In a video released yesterday from al-Hol camp, several kids shouted pro ISIS slogans that their state will remain.
