A couple other publicly available facts missing from @washingtonpost's story: (1) Max Stier was also a donor to the DNC ($250 in 2000) and Obama campaign ($1,000 in 2007) (opensecrets.org/donor-lookup/r…); and (2) he worked for the Clinton Administration at HUD (govexec.com/voices/max-sti…).

Motive?
