Often as a result of their activism political prisoners are the recipients of awards from around the world as their efforts are recognised by human right's organisations & nations not their own. #JulianAssange is one such prisoner.

2009: Amnesty International – New Media
For ‘Kenya: The Cry of Blood - Extra Judicial Killings & Disappearances’

Recognising excellence in human rights reporting & acknowledging journalism’s significant contribution to UK public awareness & understanding of human rights issues.
2010: Sam Adams Award for Integrity in Intelligence (Oct)

The award is judged by a group of retired senior US military & intelligence personnel (VIPS), and past winners. In 2010 the judges were unanimous in selecting the recipient.
2010: Time Magazine Person of the Year (Readers’ Choice)

The online vote asks readers to choose the most influential person, people or things. With a total 1,249,425 votes, #JulianAssange raked in 382,020 votes, giving him an easy first place, 148,383 votes over 2nd place.
2010: Le Monde Man of the Year

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was named "Man of the Year" by French newspaper Le Monde & 56% of its readers. The newspaper was one of five publications to cooperate with the whistleblowing website on the release of leaked documents.
2011: Free Dacia Award

CBS News reported that Cotidianul.ro a Romanian online publication known for its editorial independence honoured #JulianAssange for his service to press freedom, & for exposing the "duplicitous behaviour of some democratic countries."
2011: José Couso Press Freedom Award.

The objective of this award is to acknowledge & spread the work of an existing organization or person with a relevant role in defending the freedom of speech, or with a significant and independent career in the field of journalism.
2011: Liberty Victoria Voltaire Award

The Voltaire award is given annually for distinguished contributions to free speech. Liberty Victoria is one of Australia’s leading civil liberties organisations - working to defend & extend human rights and freedoms in Victoria since 1936.
2011: Sydney Peace Foundation Medal

The Sydney Peace Foundation awarded its Gold Medal for peace with justice to WikiLeaks co-founder #JulianAssange. The citation reads, ‘For exceptional courage and initiative in pursuit of human rights’.
2011: Walkley Award for most outstanding contribution to journalism

These awards are given for excellence in Australian journalism & are regarded Australia’s equivalent of US’s Pulitzer prize. The Walkley Foundation is an initiative of the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance.
2011: Martha Gellhorn Prize For Journalism.

The annual prize is awarded to a journalist "whose work has penetrated the established version of events and told an unpalatable truth that exposes establishment propaganda, or 'official drivel', as Martha Gellhorn called it.
2012: Big Brother Awards Italy – Progetto Winston Smith (PWS) & e-privacy

PWS (an anonymous association) is ‘The Winston Smith Project’ & is an informational and operational project for the defence of human rights on the Internet and in the digital era.
2013: Global Exchange’s People’s Choice Award

Global Exchange’s Human Rights Awards honour the achievements of groups & individuals whose work embodies the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights: peace, justice, and equality.
2013: Yoko Ono Lennon Courage Award

Ms. Ono Lennon initiated the Courage Award in 2009 to recognize artists who demonstrated courage in their work, despite pressure to succumb to commercial and political constraints.
2013: Brazilian Press Association Human Rights Award

Medal of Human Rights, for services rendered to humanity, the right to citizenship and the right to information awarded to Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald, Bradley Manning, and Aaron Swartz Mordechai Vanunu.
2014: Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan – Best Investigative Journalist

In 2016 the Chairman of the Union & his son were imprisoned on fraud charges, The European Parliament in 2016 however, called the imprisonment judicial targeting.
2019: GUE/ NGL EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY GROUP Award
For Journalists, Whistleblowers a& Defenders of the Right to Information

The award is given to individuals "uncovering the truth and exposing it to the public" and to honour those "intimidated and/or persecuted" for such actions.
2019: DANNY Global Vision Award for Journalism & Activism

The Danny Schechter Global Vision Award for Journalism & Advocacy is awarded annually to an individual who best emulates Schechter's practice of combining excellent journalism with advocacy on behalf of the public.
2019: Compassion in Care’s 2019 Gavin MacFadyen Award for Whistleblowers

To commemorate the late CIJ Director & awarded annually to a journalist or org in recognition of their work in supporting whistleblowers to expose corruption, abuse & violence toward the vulnerable.
#Assange is also a multiple nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize and this year has been nominated by a Nobel Peace Prize winner. There are no doubt also other awards out there that I have missed. Feel free to add. But these were the most well known. #FreeAssange
