The reason Hindus might not "get it" is because they are inherently more pragmatic and less dogmatic than Muslim and Sikh fundamentalists. My daughters who were born here go to a progressive private school where they indeed hold your Orange Man Bad world view ..

Yes she has had a couple of incidents of bullying but so have many White kids. Kids reach for the insults they believe will hurt. So she has heard a few things growing up. But they were very rare and addressed by the Teachers.
