American infiltration vs Chinese infiltration. The operative difference in how China and the US go about securing foreign is in who they target. The Chinese will go after decision makers and give them a big sack of money. The Americans will go after opinion shapers and give them
little wads of cash spread out over time. This is because they are exploiting distinct human vices. The Chinese are taking advantage of people's avarice, the Americans; their pride. There are distinct advantages to both but the American method is more effective in the long term.
While the Chinese method is able to effect immediate policy shifts, there is a limit to most people's greed. Besides the more money you have, the more independent you are. There is no limit to human vanity, thus "strivers" bought by modest regular pensions from so and so
foundation or State Department charity remain perpetually bought. Not only are their livelihoods dependent on it, but their entire self-worth. Thus Americans are able to secure loyalty from it enduring loyalty from clients that China cannot.
The reason for the success of the US system of foreign subversion is because the US is hegemonic and it's institutions, like the Roman Catholic Church of yore are the prime dispensers of holiness and status. The only way to avoid this is via strict censorship systems to firewall
off American institutions and create alternate domestic venues to distribute status. Otherwise the instinctive leapfrogging loyalties of the Liberal mindset will invariably gravitate towards those controlled by the United States.
