1) Maharashtra: Congress which ruled the state for 15 years straight (1999-2014) has been reduced to fourth position. BJP, which was junior to even SS before 2014, now undisputed largest party. Being voted back to power is not small feat. 1/5
2) Haryana: BJP was never considered a viable party before 2014. After 5 years in office it is again the largest party. Congress, having ruled the state for 10 years straight (2004-14), is now gasping, desperately seeking turncoats etc. 2/5
3) Haryana: Governance culture that Congress gave the state - rampant black money in real estate; debilitating caste politics. BJP put a full stop to all this. This must have hurt vested interests. Yet, BJP is again emerging as LARGEST PARTY. 3/5
4) What works to get you elected, and especially reelected is if you deliver on Vikas. This has been the consistent experience and model of PM Modi, since his CM days. That is why such high strike rate of BJP governments in getting reelected. 4/5
Will be interesting to watch reactions of two sets of people: 1) Those who mocked "Vikas" model of BJP till yesterday & demanding 'core', suddenly turn into champions of economy. 2) Shills trying to hide that Congress is 4th party in Maharashtra.5/5
