There are many leaders in Christian churches who don’t understand the Gospel or its power.

What they offer is a vindictive, judgmental, & antiquated picture of a pre-Calvary GOD who appears to be forever seething. (1/10)
The problem with this type of preaching is that it (1) ignores the Cross (2) Minimizes the sacrifice of Christ (3) Teaches the Law of Moses as Apostolic Doctrine & (4) Robs believers of the benefit of being in Christ. (2/10)
Ignorance is NOT orthodoxy. It is ignorance. Not knowing is not an excuse for the damage that’s being done in the name of the Lord.

It’s better to be a weak Christian struggling under Grace than a self-righteous Christian who is proud of his legalism. (3/10)
Read your Bibles! Read the New Covenant. Understand why it’s called NEW & why a NEW Covenant was necessary. Realize that GOD is the One who made the OLD covenant obsolete. (See next tweet) (4/10)
Hebrews 8:13 (NLT)
When God speaks of a “new” covenant, it means he has made the first one OBSOLETE. It is now out of date and will soon disappear. (5/10)
The word obsolete means: (1) Out of date or (2) NO LONGER IN USE.
So, my question is: Why are ministers pushing something that GOD Himself declares to be out of date & no longer in use? (6/10)
Do we even understand the meaning of Jesus’ death & the Grace it provides?

Galatians 2:21 (NLT)
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. (7/10)
If we are still under the system of Law that many preach, then why did Jesus die? YES! GOD does call us to be Holy. But we aren’t called to offer Him holiness. He offers it to us. (See next tweet) (8/10)
Hebrews 13:12 (NLT)
“So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to MAKE HIS PEOPLE HOLY by means of his own blood.”

1 Thes. 5:23 (NLT)
“Now may the God of peace MAKE YOU HOLY in every way...” (9/10)
A thorough study of the Bible reveals a lost theology that emphasizes the power of the Cross, work of the Holy Spirit, & a loving Heavenly Father who supplies the righteousness He once demanded. Is obedience needed? YES! But only to express Faith in Jesus’ finished work. (10/10)
