Today many of us has come here as Jews linked with our immigrant brethren. This is not an abstract sentiment. As we know too well the forces white supremacy are against them and against us.

This summer, a small group of Jews channeled our fury at ICE into an action at a detention center in NJ. We accidentally set off the largest-ever wave of direct action by Jews & allies against ICE. The only thing missing was a blueprint for the future... That’s about to change.
What's next? A huge wave of actions in December. We’re going to start with mass coordinated mobilizations in strategic cities, and then kick off distributed local actions nationwide, taking the fight to ICE & their enablers on the level that's needed to *actually* shut them down.

Today, I marched w/ hundreds to @Thrivent.

Why?

Movement to kidnap children, separate families, cage human beings and dehumanize our immigrant neighbors isn’t just about a racist president.

It’s about financial institutions making millions off investments in these practices
Two of the largest companies running private detention centers inprisoning families on border are CoreCivic & GEO Group.

They are profiting from detentions, separations, deaths & camps.

@Thrivent, according to recent FEC filings have almost 4 million invest in those companies
While hatred and bigotry readied the soil for the inhumane treatment at these concentration camps the water and sunlight providing nourishment for these camps to flourish is the cowardess and profit first mentality of multimillion dollar companies like @Thrivent

BPD maintains a "gang assessment database" with the Boston Region Intelligence Center, "fusion center" which combines the worst information and impulses of local, state, and federal law enforcement. Their intel on suspected gang members is... well, it's bad. It's very bad.
The database gives BPD cover to "confirm" who is a "VERIFIED & ACTIVE" gang member. It's a serious allegation, something they'd be immediately sued for publicly suggesting about a white Bostonian. But determine that someone is young, male, & Salvadoran.... and here we are:
