@Lawrence Part 3: The intro, which includes footage of Pete's original comments and a statement from his rapid-response team. It actually makes things worse because it confirms they just don't get that Dems criticizing Dems on the deficit *at all* is bad. Can't say @Lawrence wasn't fair.

A lot of Democratic voters want to pick a moderate nominee who is promising to stop the fighting in DC, resume bipartisanship and move us past gridlock. I get the instinct, fighting wears you down, but this is a dangerous strategy that will only make the GOP stronger. Here's why:
Republicans blocked Obama's agenda, stole a Supreme Court seat and wouldn't help Dems do anything about Russian election interference. Were they punished? No. They were rewarded with the presidency, two SCOTUS seats, the Senate & tax cuts. The strategy worked. Why change now?
The GOP won’t suddenly reconsider bipartisanship. Rulebreaking/refusing to compromise has been effective for them. It’s a party and voter base that almost put a child molester in the US Senate over a candidate who prosecuted the KKK for killing young black girls! No conscience.

Warren is the candidate who understands what we're up against in the Senate. Biden and Buttigieg compromise too much. McConnell will destroy them. Sanders doesn't want to nuke the filibuster or pack SCOTUS, seems to think a movement will force centrist Dems to instantly back M4A.
Biden is especially out to lunch here. He seems to be stuck in what he considers the good old days of the chamber. Where it was a bunch of white dudes who disagreed on very little (even segregationists were welcome!) and what really mattered was keeping your cozy job for decades.
Buttigieg is not as naive, but he's so opportunistic -- can you trust him? He's already made a significant shift right. How much worse would that get in the general? Totally plays into the hands of the GOP, who never shift left. Trump and Co. haven't triangulated a millimeter.

When Joe Biden talks to young girls he mentions their looks and makes inappropriate jokes.

When Elizabeth Warren talks to young girls she says she's "running for president because that's what girls do."

Please don't dismiss the difference. Presidents should also be role models.
This isn't really about Biden. Or even Trump. It's about choosing a better future than our past. We were all taught that toxic masculinity was OK and to uphold the patriarchy. Building a more inclusive, respectful version of our country is way past due. That starts at the top.
Kamala, Pete, Bernie, Beto, Amy, Cory, Kirsten, Julian, etc. aren't making these inappropriate remarks either. Only Joe. Are folks trying to go backward? Honestly, some Democratic voters seem to be revolting against #MeToo and "political correctness." It's very disappointing.

#Breaking - Some defense sources report #Indian air strikes across the Line of Control in Muzafarabad, #Pakistan. Indian air force briefing expected later today. Pakistan said Indian jets dropped their payloads & "fled". More confirmation of details needed.
There are also reports of dual, air and ground Indian strikes in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. No official word yet. Waiting for updates. Stay tuned.
