The core matter here is that CNN reported that Lev Parnas’ lawyer said Lev would be willing to testify he was in Vienna with Nunes to meet with Viktor Shokin.
He says the story is demonstrably false. Nunes says he was in Libya and Malta instead.

At this point, what in the complaint gives us any proof? It’s his word against zilch public record.

I can say one thing about the Complaint. It has very little to say about Viktor Shokin. I have had a bit more to say, whether or not the cowboy from #CA22 has or has not met the man.
And if and when proof positive to the contrary becomes available I will eat my hat, but until then, I’m inclined to think Parnas is no bigger a liar or grifter than Nunes of the midnight Uber runs and mysterious trips to Azerbaijan, & that he was indeed in Ukraine, up to no good.
But if it was Malta, what are the odds? That tiny nation, rife with corruption, in the wake of the journalist Daphne Galizia’s murder, such a hotspot in the news this week as pressure mounts for Muscat to resign.
