Difficult to cut thru all YOUR hate, scorn & vitriol, but I discern the kernel of an idea — that people want to be respected & *feel* Remainers don't.
That's actually a fair point, but don't you think you'd convey it better if you didn't hate-coat it?
a) you prime your readers' reaction by starting with the word *bitter* & using a string of pejoratives (As BITTER REMOANERS RANT... FRUITCAKES & LOONIES)
/cont.
Was that just you editorialising?
I thanked Steve Baker for his tact on #BrexitDay, but someone doesn't occupy the moral high ground just by uttering the word *reconciliation*, esp. when that someone condoned dubious practices that eventually led to robbing millions of their rights
HINT: #Truth
No truth, no reconciliation. Flowers don't grow without rain.
-doubted legitimacy of #EUref
-theft of our rights
-upending the lives of #The5Million + others
-cruel & inhuman treatment inflicted on #The5Million as *bargaining chips* of our Govt
-making #The3Million apply to stay in their home
FOR WHAT?
After all, NF showered SO MUCH praise on the Norway model.
The olive branch never came.
Remainers took up the fight again, not just for themselves, but for everyone who stood to lose out in a #DisasterCapitalist Brexit
You could've helped people understand that the ECHR (& Council of Europe) is not the EU, for example. Or that there are better ways of allaying concerns about immigration than stripping 66m Brits of FoM.
Instead of childishly dismissing all risks as #ProjectFear, you could've helped readers weigh probability.
I'd like to believe things could've been different if Leavers felt Remainers *respected* them, but there was fat chance of that with the press whipping up division.
I saw Barry Sheerman on a TV show accused of calling Leavers stupid -which he didn't do at all- cos he referenced recent research that level of education was the N°1 factor determining how we voted.
Example: you saying Adonis doesn't mean what he says, he means what you say, and what you say is that he disrespects Leavers!
I've met him. He's clear that Brexiter leaders bear responsibility for this, not voters
It's clear you're part of a *Brexit Battalion Media Corps Op* to get the *displacement blame game* going early & fix a hatred-target on Remainers' backs, even tho' the design & execution of #Brexit rests entirely in Johnson's unfettered hands.
1) Whip up hatred vs Remainers & blame them for future #Brexit difficulties, failings & hardship.
2) Pretend there's no #Transition, so absence of bad consequences NOW means Remainers were wrong.
You, Kirkup, Hannan, Carswell, Eddie Hughes, etc
He's got his honour and integrity intact.
You've got your thirty pieces of silver.
