1. Economic appropriations are grounded in intra-trinitarian personal relations. A robust theological method of trinitarian creation accounts for the oikonomia through the lens of the theologia.
2. This is why the confession says, “. . . it pleased God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for the manifestation of His eternal power, wisdom, and goodness, to create or make the world . . .” The ad extra divine work of creation manifests the ad intra divine relations.
3. This is why we can assert that all things come from the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit. This is also why the 2LCF affirms the “doctrine of the Trinity [as] the foundation of all our communion with God, and comfortable dependence on Him” (2.3).
