You wouldn't hold an election on the tarmac during Pearl Harbor, and we shouldn't send people out to vote in person in the middle of a lethal pandemic. 
The Governor called on the legislature to move the election. They refused to act. Today, he exercised his emergency powers to delay it. @sbauerAP reports that the GOP is already moving to get the state Supreme Court to strike down his order.
And here it is: GOP leaders are so desperate to disenfranchise Wisconsinites that they are attempting to override this emergency order via the WI state Supreme Court. Fathomless moral bankruptcy, on display for the whole world to see.
The framing of Robin Vos's sneer says it all: he's thinking 100% politically & 0% about people's lives. @GovEvers is postponing the election to make it safe because you, @SpeakerVos, just failed the most crucial moral test of your life. You failed to act.
Coronavirus cases are growing exponentially. Deaths are growing exponentially. The science is growing more dire. When circumstances change, leaders must rise to them. Wisconsin's GOP legislators shrank in the face of the crisis. They're still shrinking now.

The GOP has now officially filed, skipping all lower courts, to get the GOP-dominated state Supreme Court to override an emergency public health measure and ensure that asymptomatic COVID-positive & negative voters will mingle in large groups tomorrow.
