If the workers realize that they have the numbers on their side, they can use it to finally effect change at a fundamental level. We saw how scared of #OccupyWallStreet the establishment was. They knew how close actual revolution was.

The global #Occupy movement owes it's roots to uprisings in places like #Iran #Tunisia and #Egypt who sparked the #ArabSpring in 2010 and 2011, which inspired westerners to carry the torch and ignite their own #AmericaAutumn. It spread to all corners of the world soon after.

Don't get me wrong, there have been great causes that people took up after #OWS dispersed. #IdleNoMore #BlackLivesMatter #MeToo and other areas of social justice finally got new found attention and were brought to public scrutiny, backlash too.

But things have continued to swing back and forth as well. Trouble is, the pendulum is fucked now. It used to go from left to right wing ideologies. Now is swings from far right to center barely crossing the median to conservative left. There is no anti-war party, and no justice

2016 the 'left' arrogantly pushed another corporate war-monger on us, knowing we wouldn't vote for her. She felt entitled and tried to guilt people to vote for her, at the same time a previously ignored fascist contingent grew visibly more powerful, and started echoing #WWII

Her entitlement and pure stupidity were her downfall. The con-artist, semi-illiterate game show host beat the witch as was obvious to anyone paying the least bit of attention. Trump talked about what he would do for people. Her slogan "I'm not Him I'm Her" broke the camels back.

The guy who wasn't part of the establishment, who appeared to called them out for selling us out for decades, won the #ElectoralCollege. Our pseudo-democratic farce of a system elected another 'leader' who did not win the popular vote, aka loser takes all. WTF?!?

Don''t get me started on @SenSanders and his campaign of ineptitude. I used to think he wanted real change. That he had the potential to be a real leader, not just a reminder of what the left used to be. A #NewDealDemocrat. But he never seems to want to fight for it. #BernieBust

For the second time, @BernieSanders ran claiming to be the head of a growing movement, yet he never had any intention of actually fighting for. Turns out, he has no fire in the belly. No real action behind the words that he's spent his career repeating as a democratic socialist.

A message to @SenSanders: As a head of state said “There’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me—you can’t get fooled again.” We won't forget this second betrayal. #VoteNobody2020

This mess is the dumpster fire we have lit for ourselves. We squandered the historic moments and opportunities that previously presented themselves. We let our fears get the better of us, because we needed to make rent, feed our kids, and have barely kept our heads above water.

Enter #CoronavirusPandemic #SARSCoV19 #COVID19. This modern #Plague is now a tragedy of epic proportions. Forcing the west to wake up. Until now, we could shrug off most outbreaks. They were (mostly) short lived and always, it seemed, easily controllable.

The #CoronavirusPandemic has done something I thought impossible; something we have been trying to do on a local, sometimes national scale with marches, protests, union strikes, demonstrations and our prayers. The #CoronaVirus has shut down business as usual. #GeneralStrike2020

This #Pandemic is going to be devastating beyond belief. We will lose more people in the coming months than I think we want to begin to deal with emotionally. We need to prepare for that possibility, while working to stop the current spread and it will eventually be controllable

While we #SocialDistance to protect the rest of humanity, we must use this time to remember why we are here now. We can't blame the leaders forever, while continuing to look to them for guidance, for wisdom, for survival, for anything anymore. They continue to lie, at our expense

The shit storm we face now is immense, global, and completely our fault. We played the game far too long. Believing we'd reap the benefits of globalizing our economy, we allowed our elected officials to outsource nearly our whole manufacturing sector. How's that working out?

When I was younger, I remember "Made in Taiwan" as the shoddy phrase we used for substandard mass produced crap. We took pride in our "Made in the USA" labels. The cold war ended. We were force fed new policies of #NAFTA then #WTO membership.

I'm not saying that the past was perfect, far from it. People were overworked, exploited, and the rampant classicism has always been a problem; but at least after the #NewDeal and in the wake of #WWII it seemed like the tax code and society generally appreciated the middle class

Reagan, #CIA Bush, Clinton, Idiot Bush and every buffoon since then have made sure that what changes were made to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, corporate tax code, income tax code, #GlassSteagall, were systematically dissolved, leading to 2008's collapse of the monetary system.

So, here we are. A struggling manufacturing sector. A for profit, privatized healthcare system that is far from universal. We let @BarackObama sell out the poor, forcing them into private insurance, milking them for premiums, while high deductibles keep them from using it.
