Original name of #Brahmastra was Dragon. Character of #RanbirKapoor was inspired by Jalaluddin Mohd Rumi -Sufi preacher overhyped by those who hype Mughals

Rumi equated Hindus with evil & Hindustan with darkness (to be destroyed)

After Pulwama, #Rumi became Shiva

Jab tak..
It is only because Hindus have been brainwashed to glorify perpetrators as heroes and true heroes as villains that they enjoy #Urduwood trash on Hinduism and history

Thanks to Nehru and Maulana Abul Kalam - the first education minister who was actually a Hadith expert

Travelling to Turkey
1. Cappadocia
After 40hours traveling by bus,I finally reached #Cappadocia in central #Turkey. Exhausting but extraordinary. Visiting Paşabağ Valley & fairy chimneys, Valley of Zelve, Oçhisar Castle & Valley of pigeons were dreamy places I visited there. 1/3
I spent the nights in #Gormeh, located among the "fairy chimney" rock formations with full of cave housings. Just east of the town is Göreme Open Air Museum from the 10th to 12th centuries. It's among the earliest-settled & last-abandoned monastic valleys in #Cappadocia.2/3
Here are more photos from Cappadocia.I do love the atmosphere of it & will return there again.
After 2days I said goodbye to dreamy Cappadocia & traveled to Aksaray province, Sultanhani town, Konya; the city of #Rumi & other cities. Will write about them in next parts. 3/3

Somewhere in our conscious pursuit of patterns, grand order and #inspiration, we often miss something far more elemental – the delicate joy of connecting with #nature, beyond the practical function of existing in it.
It's how you #feel, when you stand gaping at a masterpiece in a gallery, and momentarily lose yourself into its contours. That is when your observation goes beyond being just "useful", burrows deep into the primal parts of your #brain, and tickles them with an awe.
Soaking in the occasional Sun outdoors is a rare delight, as more days of cold, cloudy #weather coming through. And every once in a while, fate rewards me with an exclusive close up of nature's masterpieces – an enchanting #honeybee, the other day.

Seorang lelaki tua datang ke Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi (r.a).

Today’s public service announcement: When you see a poem or saying attributed to #Rumi in which he is reported as saying: “I am not a Muslim”, or “I belong to no religion”, it’s probably fake.
A short thread on fake Rumi poems.
#mevlana #mawlana #masnavi #sufi #sufism #fakeRumi
One of the popular fake poems attributed to Rumi is the one that starts:
“What is to be done, O Muslims? for I do not know myself.
I am neither Christian, nor Jew, nor Magian, nor Muslim.”
چه تدبیر ای مسلمانان که من خود را نمیدانم
نه ترسا و یهودیم نه گبرم نه مسلمانم
The same poem has become so popular through its further re-translations:
[I am] “Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu
Buddhist, Sufi, or Zen.
Not any religion or cultural system.”

A thread on why 99.9% of Hafez quotes on the internet are… fake. Including the ones you probably like. A thread on #Hafiz #Hafez, or I should say #FakeHafez.
(Including the one here, which is alas, Fake!)
“Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, ‘you owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that! It lights up the whole sky.”
You like that one from Hafez?
Too bad. It’s Fake Hafez.
“Your Heart and My Heart Are Very Very Old Friends.”
Like that one from Hafez too?

A thread on the “Night of Power” (Laylat al-Qadr), one of the holy nights in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

In honor of approaching the last nights of #Ramadan, known as Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power, Night of Destiny, a thread on: #Laylatalqadr #Nightofpower #Ramazan
Hidden in the last ten nights of Ramadan is a night called Night of Power (Laylat al-qadr). This is a night that Muslims cherish, a night that according to the Qur’an, the angels and the Spirit descend down.
Commentators differ on the identity of the “Spirit”. Some think it refers to the archangel Jibril (Gabriel), others say that it refers directly to God’s mercy.

This is the Maqam of Shams Tabrez, the Shaykh of Mevlana #Rumi. Rumi was an incredibly knowledgeable scholar. One day, he was studying next to a fountain of water and there were books next to him. Image
Shams who looked unlearned and poor approached him and asked, 'What is this?' Rumi ignored him and simply said, 'Something you don't understand!'

Shams picked up Rumi's books and threw them in the pool of water.
When Rumi exclaimed with dismay, the man placed his hand in the water and took out the books which were amazingly unharmed or damaged.

The second is Sayyid Salman Safavi’s #Persian series on the #Arabic Sufi classic #FususalHikam of #IbnArabi 3/

The "Masnawi" is Rumi's greatest poetic work, composed during the last years of his life
Mathnawî-yé Ma`nawî," which means "Rhyming Couplets of Deep Spiritual Meaning."

Excerpt From: "Masnawi Sacred Texts of Islam: Book One" by Mevlana Rumi.
The name "Mathnawî" (pro-nounced "Masnavî" in Persian) means "couplets" in Arabic [because the second half of the verse (in Arabic, "thanî") rhymes with the first]
The Masnavi is divided into six books, and Rumi wrote prefaces for each book. The earliest complete manuscript (the "Konya manuscript") was completed in December, 1278 (five years after Rumi's death).

Excerpt From: "Masnawi Sacred Texts of Islam: Book One" by Mevlana Rumi.
