Moon returns from Russia where he pitched his own Northern Strategy (the "Northern Silk Road") to Putin, Medvedev and the Russian lower house. SK railroad officials accompanied him to confer with Russian ones re connecting to the Trans-Siberian Railway
Moon made the biggest impression at the Duma, the Russia lower house, where he was applauded 7 times during his speech. There was a standing ovation at the end. Russian lawmakers then surrounded him to take pics. We'll examine all Phi Klappa Klappa moments
BH officials make English translations of Moon's speeches available, even those delivered in non-English speaking countries. The first 2 applauses were kind of honorific. The 3rd was when Moon mentioned LNG carrier Vladimir Rusanov being built in Busan

The 4th is when Moon describes the Panmunjom Declaration: "Along with complete denuclearization, KJU and I promised to the world that there will be no more war on the Korean peninsula." Moon also proudly revealed he is the son of Korean War refugees.
Moon then credits Russian lawmakers for their support in turning NK around: "This dramatic turnaround was due to great support and cooperation provided by the Russian government and her citizens. I believe in peace and co-prosperity both on the Korean peninsula and in Eurasia"
So what's the formula? Moon mentioned Russian writers (Tolstoy, Turgenev, Dostoevsky, Pushkin), Russian explorers (Gumilyov, Rusanov, Gagarin), Korean nationalists who found refuge in Russia during Japanese rule (4). Also mentioned 2 Russian proverbs and said thank you in Russian
The speech is written by the same team that wrote Moon's "Berlin Vision" speech and his speech at Beijing Univ where he declared China and SK to be "fellow travelers" who had to overcome imperialism and colonialism .... to triumph and reach modernization. Uncannily similar
Moon has liberal arts types working on speeches and the team is led by this guy: Shin Dong-ho. He's a poet and classmate of Moon's chief of staff (Lim JS). Should give credit where credit is due as he's majorly responsible for the applause Moon gets abroad

Before leaving, Lib Korea leader Hong JP said, "We must learn from Tak Hyon-min." Tak is the acclaimed choreographer of moving scenes from the inter-Korean summit. Need to also find a speechwriter who can drop names & earn standing ovations like this guy
No kidding. Team Moon has the secret sauce down, courtesy of his speech writing team that includes a poet and artsy-fartsy types that assemble proverbs and literary references. They must be coming across even when translated.
