WHO: Discovery Cube Orange County, the Orange County Regional FBI office, and Girl Scouts of Orange County

WHAT: The three organizations have joined forces to create the FBI Cyber G-Girl STEM Academy, which introduces girls entering 6th-8th grades to Internet safety,

cyber investigations, and careers in the FBI. During the week-long camp that takes place July 16-20, 2018, female FBI special agents and intelligence analysts will join Discovery Cube on a mission to inspire girls...

to learn about Internet safety and encourage them to pursue college degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

During the week-long camp, girls will learn how to investigate a cyber-crime, to fingerprint, conduct victim interviews, collect forensic evidence, interpret blood spatter, extract DNA, and more.

On Friday, July 20 at 2:30, the girls present their case and evidence to a mock grand jury. Then, at 3:30, they will participate in a graduation ceremony with FBI, Discovery Cube, and Girl Scouts of Orange County staff,

as well as their families, and will earn their Girl Scout Cadette Special Agent Badge.
