Adderall is an amphetamine which makes your pupils dilate. This is a person sitting in front of bright TV lights whose pupils should be contracted.

Side effects of Adderall addiction include aggression, memory loss, mania, impulsivity and disorientation.
Here's Noel Casler, a comedian and former crew member from the Celebrity Apprentice talking about Trump's habit of crushing Adderall and snorting it, which is a highly-abusive way to take the drug.
I would argue that it's very relevant (and quite disturbing) that the man who has the nuclear codes and thus the ability to destroy the entire planet may have a drug addiction which causes rage, mania and disorientation.

99.9% of Americans earn less than $10 million a year.

Taxing 0.1% of the population 70% on every dollar AFTER their first ten million would NOT harm the economy.

What other countries spend on health care & infrastructure, we spend on low taxes for the super wealthy.
This type of spending is GOOD for the economy since accumulated wealth doesn't circulate while the economic benefit of improved infrastructure, education and health care is MASSIVELY beneficial to productivity (not to mention quality of life for 320 million people).
I'm seeing this argument in conservative circles that taxing the rich is "unethical."

What utter horseshit.

What's unethical is letting people die in the street from inadequate health care just so some banker can afford a second yacht.

Right now in America people are donating money they don’t have to build a wall they don’t need to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
The GoFundMe for the Wall has raised about $3 million in 3 days.

At this rate, the Wall will be fully-funded by...2086.

Racists are bad at math.

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.

1. You know I've been arguing that we shouldn't take glee in the demise of The Weekly Standard but this complacent and blinkered David Brooks column is making me reconsider. nytimes.com/2018/12/15/opi…
2. Brooks' column is semi-interesting in that he's arguing Weekly Standard is victim not just of Trumpism but also of late capitalism's hostility to high culture. Of course, Brooks uses more guarded language ("corporate bureaucrats" and "corporate drones").
3. The core of Brooks article is the correct observation that it's difficult to produce a high-brow political cultural magazine under capitalism because there's no market for it. But Brooks being Brooks, he avoids calling it capitalism & talks of "corporate bureaucrats."

Well I said I would make a thread about Elizabeth Warren, who is another possible presidential contender I continue to see getting brought up so let's get started.
Like most of my other threads, she can be linked back to a NYTimes article celebrating legalized bribery and "blitzing the New York money circuit".
