@SherrodBrown @GOP This is a combination of the corporate tax breaks being used to do stock buy backs instead of raise employee payroll and the $1B in increased steel expenses thanks to Trump's tariffs. A middle class tax break would of made more sense, as the extra buying power in average 1/
@SherrodBrown @GOP households would fuel the economy, raising corporate stock rates (so the rich fucks still get theirs) and giving us economic leverage over China and other trade partners, rather than getting into a trade war.
@SherrodBrown @GOP Just to elaborate more on this, you give rich folks money and they make stock or fund investment, which are taxed much lower than income. Give middle class folks money and they most likely spend it rather than save or invest it. This is the true trickle down economy. 1/
@SherrodBrown @GOP because that spending will also increase state and local communities sales tax revenues, which can fuel local infrastructure, schools, etc. making their locale more enticing for businesses and...we're on the wheel. But @GOP and @DNC know all this, it's just that we the people 2/
@SherrodBrown @GOP @DNC are not the masters they serve. The middle class is just the ATM machine for the political machines. @GOP will send all your money to Wall Street, @DNC will at least send a tithe or so to the poor and then the rest to Wall Street.
