Ok, here's what I don't understand about this delay

1/

In original scenario, May looses MV then goes to EU for renegotiation, secures something minimal to permit tweak to motion, so can have 2nd vote

2/

Now, she goes to EU, maybe gets tweak, but then loses this path if/when she's loses MV

3/

Assuming tweak was never going to make much difference, and assuming defeat was/is going to be large, why give up anything like this?

4/

Moreover, EU might be (even) less willing to give ground now, absent an actual -ve vote

5/

It just doesn't make sense
